La Tribune de Genève reviews Leif Ove Andsnes and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra on tour

“In the second half of the evening we heard Mozart’s Piano Concertos no. 20 KV 466 and No. 22 KV 482, in which Leif Ove Andsnes directed economically and with preision. Above all, we should note his ability to illuminate both the sunny (“Allegro assai” of the K466) and darker moments (a moving “Andante” of the K482).  The piano of the Norwegian musician sparkles with a disarming cantabile. It is served by a technical device (22 small wooden pieces, made in Germany, placed at different points of the piano), which draws the sounds together and, at the same time, clarifies the musical details. Andsnes has been using the instrument for a year and it allows his talent to radiate even more.”
