Volume 2 of the Beethoven Journey has been nominated for a BBC Music Magazine. You can cast your vote on the BBC Music Magazine website before the deadline of 28 February. The winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony which will take place in London on 7 April.
Announcing the nomination the BBC Music Magazine wrote “In an age when the word “journey” is overused, Andsnes reminds us what a true heart-and-mind musical journey really is. From its expectant, half-improvisatory opening, Concerto No. 4 sounds as if it is being rediscovered, and each fresh discovery leads to something equally new. Even the slighter concerto No. 2 surprises and delights.”
