At a gala event in Brussels, Belgian National Radio (VRT) awarded “Best Internaitonal CD” to Leif Ove Andsnes’ Chopin Album. Alongside various tributes the jury commented “Leif Ove Andsnes performs with the technical class, intelligence and emotion that are so unique to him: a wonderful combination of head and heart. Nowhere is he intellectual without feeling, nowhere sensitive without the stimulus of reason. An exceptional recording of the most honest pianist of his generation!”
