Romantic “storms of life” meet sophisticated contemporary miniatures: in a duo, the pianists Leif Ove Andsnes and Bertrand Chamayou combine the great four-hand piano works from Franz Schubert’s last year of life with excerpts from György Kurtág’s inexhaustible fund of “Spielen”, the Játékok series, which has been continuously expanded since 1973 – including the Hommage à Schubert from 1979.
