Germany’s WDR Radio has reviewed the new Beethoven CD and previewed Leif Ove Andsens’ concert in Cologne on 18 November with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Concentrating on the collaboaration between soloist and orchestra the presenter commented “What follows is the finest chamber music. Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra are close knit and breathe with the music. This is especially evident in the slow movements where soloist and orchestra create wide arches spanning the music and stopping time for a moment.”
