The Hamburger Abendblatt previews Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra’s Residency in Hamburg which opens on 24 September at the Laeiszhalle:

Over the three year period of his “Beethoven Journey”, he has been performing concerts together with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in the music capitals of Europe. And when they make a stop off in Hamburg, the musicians will surprise and possibly even irritate listeners with music that is seemingly familiar.
