Norway’s Dagbladet reviews Beethoven with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra at the Bergen Festival

“… It was more than remarkable. Consider just the orchestra. It has a level relative to the other (good) chamber orchestras – such as the musicians from the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic. Each and every one of the musicians are like soloists, playing together as if controlled by a single, common and fundamental understanding of the work on the program. The same applies to the sound – it is pure joy to listen to – a rich and warm interaction which with Andsnes is almost telepathic.
