Throughout most of January and February Leif Ove Andsnes was scheduled to perform in the USA. With all of those engagements now cancelled, Norwegian presenters have been quick to invite him to perform on his home turf instead. Andsnes is currently a guest of the Bergen Philharmonic Wintermezzo concert series and last week performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 (still available to watch on BergenPhilLive). Upcoming performances in Bergen include a chamber music concert with Vikingur Òlaffson and friends streamed on 2 February at 19.30; a solo recital of works by Janacek, Beethoven and Dvorak on 3 February and a Grieg Recital with soprano Lise Davidsen on 9 February. Leif Ove Andsnes also joins Neuroscientist Professor Stefan Kölsch for a conversation about music and the brain which will be live streamed on 10 February at 19.30 CET
